IHS Bylaws Updated–Minnesota Changes Territorial Governors

During the IHS 56th Annual Convention Membership Meeting, members voted to change the state of Minnesota from the Northwest Territory to the Central Territory, as follows:

Article IV: Officers and Board of Governors
            Sec. 7. Territorial Governors

    a. Nine (9) governors shall be elected, one from each of the following territories:
    Sub-part (3) previously read:
    NORTHWEST, composed of the states of Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska and Minnesota.
    Changed to:
    NORTHWEST, composed of the states of Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado and Nebraska.

    Sub-part (5) previously read:
    CENTRAL, composed of the states of Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri and Illinois.
    Changed to:
    CENTRAL, composed of the states of Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois and Minnesota.

Minnesota members’ gubernatorial representation changed from Bruce Sharp, BC-HIS, ACA, to J. Scott George, BC-HIS.  The change goes into effect immediately.  To see the bylaws in their entirety, click here.
