The International Hearing Society is pleased to announce that Richard Giles, BC-HIS, has been elected to a three-year term of office as IHS’s governor for the Pacific Territory. Mr. Giles ran unopposed in the election. His term of service begins January 1, 2008 and expires December 31, 2010.
Giles has worked in the hearing health industry for over 26 years and owns a private practice dispensing office located in Vancouver, Washington. He is currently serving on IHS’s International Institute for Hearing Instrument Studies Committee. Giles holds dual licensure in both Oregon and Washington and is vice president of the Washington Hearing Society and past president of the Oregon Hearing Society, both IHS affiliate chapters. He has been an IHS member since 1986 and earned board certification in 1992.
The International Hearing Society is also pleased to announce that Larry Farris, BC-HIS, ACA, has been re-elected to another three-year term as IHS’s governor for the Southwest Territory, and John Letts, BC-HIS, has been re-elected to another three-year term as IHS’s governor for the Canadian Territory. Both Mr. Farris and Mr. Letts ran unopposed in the elections. The new term of service for both gentlemen began January 1, 2008 and expires December 31, 2010.
