Ben began his career in the hearing‑care industry 19 years ago with Miracle‑Ear, making the leap from social work—where he worked with at‑risk youth—to pursue his passion for audiology. His entry into the field was serendipitous: he met the owner of the Miracle‑Ear centers he would eventually purchase in a Barnes & Noble bookstore. After five and a half years as an employee, Ben acquired the four locations he had been managing.
His strong leadership and entrepreneurial drive fueled rapid growth. Today, Ben operates 35 clinics across Michigan. Fifteen of those locations were built from the ground up—starting with an empty retail space, coordinating contractors, hiring and licensing staff, and opening the doors one clinic at a time. In recent years, he has expanded further by acquiring competitors and purchasing additional Miracle‑Ear territories.
Ben has earned a reputation as someone who gets things done. He is highly innovative and has a natural talent for identifying and developing people. Despite overseeing a large organization, he remains deeply connected to patient care and still fits hearing aids three days a week. He is passionate about mentoring emerging business owners and leaders.
Outside of work, Ben can usually be found with his wife and four children, traveling from one sports event to the next.
Ben currently serves as the president of the Franchise Advisory Council, elected by his peers to represent franchisees to the franchisor. He also serves on the Miracle‑Ear Product Committee and has previously served on the board of the Michigan Hearing Society.
