John is a second-generation Hearing Aid Specialist with nearly 30-years’ experience in the profession. He began his career in Florida, becoming licensed in 1997. He joined IHS as a member that same year and became board certified through the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences (NBC-HIS) in 1999. In 2004, he left private practice in Florida to join Siemens Hearing, now Signia’s sales team, based out of Marietta, GA. After a very successful first year on the job, he was promoted to the NC & SC Territory Sales Representative, bringing him to Rock Hill, SC. In that role, John built relationships across the Carolinas with both audiologists and Hearing Aid Specialists, and continued on a successful path with Siemens/Signia until deciding to establish his own practice, SoundAdvice Hearing Center in 2011. In addition to running his practice, John continued to work with Siemens/Signia as a contract trainer, traveling across the US presenting at conferences and in-clinic product trainings through 2017. In 2018, John became the Vice President of the South Carolina Hearing Aid Society (SCHAS), an affiliate chapter of IHS. Three years later, John assumed the role of President and served until the end of 2023. He now serves on the SCHAS committee as the Past President Advisor.
