IHS President Michael K. Andreozzi, BS, BC-HIS, began his distinguished journey through the profession at a very young age, in his father Rocco Andreozzi’s hearing aid office in Providence, Rhode Island. Andreozzi explains, “I am one of six children and all of us were involved in the profession at one point or another because of my father’s work as a Hearing Aid Specialist. I learned early that I loved helping and interacting with people and I had a talent for working with the latest electronics. Applying what I knew about electronics coupled with the people skills I learned from my father was a great mix for this profession. I have so many memories of working in the basement at 12-years old in my dad’s office, running his ‘address-ograph’ printing machines—printing the “SoundFacts” monthly newsletters that my father wrote to all his clients. I learned so much about staying in constant contact with our patients. My dad made it really easy for me, and he was open to all the ideas I had to modernize his business. I took that to heart and made it a priority to entertain new ideas in my business.”

Michael’s drive to help people hear better and connect them with the latest technology took root in Rhode Island and expanded along the U.S. East Coast through his growing practice. In addition to expanding accessibility to hearing healthcare through his chain of offices, he was devoted to promoting and protecting the profession of Hearing Aid Specialists by volunteering at the state and national levels. For the past ten years he has served on the IHS Board of Governors and was elected to the office of IHS President (2025 – 2026).
