Todd Beyer is a second-generation Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist from central Wisconsin. He earned his dispensing license in September of 1999 while working for a large retail chain. Early success selling and fitting led him into a management and training position after less than 2 years in the profession. During the next 9 years, Todd helped recruit, train, and manage hearing instrument specialists with all different levels of experience. At the height of the organization, he was working with 14 Hearing Instrument Specialists operating 10 full-time locations plus about 25 part-time locations.

His desire to get back “in the chair” fitting hearing aids led him to opening his own practice with his soon-to-be wife Karen. They opened The Hearing House in his hometown of Marshfield, Wisconsin in June of 2010. They started from scratch with a database of zero but had a full schedule on day 1. Todd became board certified in March of 2004 and soon thereafter enrolled in IHS’ American Conference of Audioprosthology (ACA) program. He credits much of his success in the profession to his participation in that program. Over the past 14 years their business has grown to 2 full-time and 3 part-time locations with a very strong and active database.

Todd served as President of IHS from 2018 to 2020 and is currently a member of the IHS Education Committee, the International Institute for Hearing Instrument Studies.

Between Todd and Karen they have 5 children and 8 grandchildren that keep them very busy when not at the office. In their spare time they enjoy traveling, camping and anything to do with the grandkids. Todd also enjoys snowmobiling and old cars.
