The International Hearing Society established IHS Canada to serve as the national representative for Hearing Instrument Practitioners across the Canadian territory. IHS Canada maintains a seat on the IHS Board of Governors, ensuring Canadian representation at the highest level of governance.

The IHS Board later authorized the creation of the IHS Canada Committee. The committee strengthens collaboration among Canadian chapters and advances a unified national voice for the profession.
