The Tinnitus Care Provider Oversight Committee oversees the Society’s Tinnitus Care Provider Certificate Program. The committee advises on matters that directly concern the instructional program and its assessment.
Committee members:
- Determine necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities a candidate should hold as an output of the certificate program
- Write and revise curriculum
- Assist in item writing and review for the assessment
- Assist in program evaluation and improvement following the accreditation standards
- Offer recommendations to the IIHIS Committee related to the Tinnitus Care Provider Certificate Program
Qualifications for Committee Members
- Membership: Must be an IHS professional member in good standing.
- Experience Requirements: Must have demonstrated knowledge and skill in tinnitus management.
- Current Experience: It is preferred that members currently dispense hearing aids, but not required.
- Time Commitment:
- Attend virtual meetings at least six times a year.
- Dedicate time independently as needed.
