The Tinnitus Care Provider Oversight Committee oversees the Society’s Tinnitus Care Provider Certificate Program. The committee advises on matters that directly concern the instructional program and its assessment.

Committee members:

  • Determine necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities a candidate should hold as an output of the certificate program
  • Write and revise curriculum
  • Assist in item writing and review for the assessment
  • Assist in program evaluation and improvement following the accreditation standards
  • Offer recommendations to the IIHIS Committee related to the Tinnitus Care Provider Certificate Program

Qualifications for Committee Members

  • Membership: Must be an IHS professional member in good standing. 
  • Experience Requirements: Must have demonstrated knowledge and skill in tinnitus management.
  • Current Experience: It is preferred that members currently dispense hearing aids, but not required.
  • Time Commitment: 
    • Attend virtual meetings at least six times a year. 
    • Dedicate time independently as needed.
