Assessment

The Tinnitus Care Provider assessment is a proprietary examination developed by experts in hearing instrument sciences and administered by the International Hearing Society. It consists of 105 computer-based questions, delivered via remote proctoring through the e-Learning Portal.

To earn the Tinnitus Care Provider Certificate, you must pass the assessment. Each question is scored as either correct or incorrect. You are allowed two attempts to pass the assessment, and the fee for the assessment applies per attempt. The first attempt must be completed within 6 months (180 days) of you starting the course.

The assessment fee is paid independently of the course, giving you the flexibility to decide whether to pursue the program credential. For details on the assessment’s structure, development, and content, refer to the Assessment Guide.

Passing of the assessment indicates that the candidate has attained the intended learning objectives to earn the Tinnitus Care Provider Certificate.

The table below shows the percentage of assessment takers who have passed the assessment, per year.
